Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your driver-guide will meet you and lead you on a scenic journey north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The route takes you through the lush Kenyan highlands, filled with tea and coffee plantations, and past small market towns bustling with local life. If the skies are clear, you’ll enjoy glimpses of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya along the way.
You will arrive at Ol Pejeta by midday and check into your lodge or camp before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The conservancy is renowned for its conservation efforts; it is home to the last two northern white rhinos in existence and features a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The diverse habitats also support elephants, lions, giraffes, and various plains game, providing excellent opportunities for photography.
After your game drive, return to your accommodation in time for dinner, and enjoy an evening under the star-filled sky of Laikipia.
